Lish = morada, refugio, casa.   Bee = soplo, viento, brisa)       Loö Lish Bee Since I was a child I have always felt a strong fascination for local legends told by my grandparents and people belonging to our community. They spoke of beings that lived in the woods, men that transformed into animals (Nahual), ghosts, that lurked in houses while we slept and an infinite amount of stories that I would listen to about the wise men (bi golhe) of the town. Since leaving the community when I was 14 and after the experiences I had while living in the city, I never lost the tie I had with the place where I had spent part of my childhood. In my desire to relate my photographic work with my personal background I found that I was looking for a way to evolve in my photographic process. This project develops around my personal childhood experiences, an intimate place: the house, a place where my imagination interweaves itself with reality; the atmosphere that envelopes these places full of religious and, at the same time, surreal symbols, melts in with the concept of building something unpredictable, connecting my local culture to my imaginary; a world where the exploration of the unconscious and of memories come together.   * The Zapotec Language is one of the spoken dialects of the northern mountain range of the State of Oaxaca. Loö = Inside of. Lisf = purple, refuge, house. Bee = blow, wind, breeze.
